Parques de Sintra was honored with the Best Cultural Merchandising 2017 award by APOM (Portuguese Museum Association). The awards ceremony was held at the Soares dos Reis National Museum in Oporto and recognized the work done in the 9 souvenir shops, with approximately 5,000 unique articles and personalized collections inspired by the monuments managed by the company.
This is the case of the Maria Pia line, with a floral decoration inspired by the porcelain service used by Queen Maria Pia (1847-1911), in the National Palace of Sintra. Also the Hispanic-Moorish tiles of the 16th century, which cover many of the walls of the same Palace, inspired other articles that can be found in the points of sale of Parques de Sintra.
From porcelain to magnetic, from fans to spectacle-holders, from pens to soaps, from t-shirts to toys, the varied and exclusive offer reaches all audiences, which prolong the experience of visiting the monuments where the stores are inserted. "When we are faced with a heritage as vast as that managed by Parques de Sintra, the inspirations, motives and patterns are infinite. It is our responsibility to translate this heritage universe into articles that our public can take to remind them about the visit to our spaces, "said the Coordinator of Parques de Sintra stores of Sintra, Catarina Alves.
